Madeline Detelich, @maddyscience

Madeline Detelich is a recent biochemistry graduate who is currently recovering from her first corporate lab job. After many years of academic and industry lab experience, she realized that what drew her to labs in the first place was not the lab work at all. It was the talking, reading, and writing about science and current research that appealed to her. She loves evolution and the natural world. She especially enjoys all the little microorganisms that produce delicious food and enjoys experimenting with them by brewing beer, making bread, and pickles. She obsesses over the intersection of sociology, psychology, and science and is always trying to figure out how people come to understand the world around them. She writes for the Lone Star Chapter of the Sierra Club and is a regular volunteer at the Texas Memorial Museum.
